Retaining and Boundary Walls Derbyshire & Staffordshire
Blockwork
In the construction of a retaining wall there are a variety of strength options depending on the load of the wall. The most common is of a 9 inch hollow section block which is then later filled with a 4 in 1 or C25 strength concrete mix. This can then be faced with brick if desired. Another Option for a less load bearing wall is a 4 inch solid block which is then faced with a 4 inch brick
Boundary Wall
This is largely down to personal preference. It can be either a concrete block or brick built wall
